I have provided financial and investment advice to clients for more than 35 years. During this time, I have found that many of our successful clients were good at and took pride in two things:
1) Staying well organized with their finances and
2) Knowing where they stood in relation to their financial goals.
Although staying organized can come easy for some, it takes more effort for others. Whether it comes naturally or not, keeping track of where you're at financially is helpful in planning for important goals such as buying a new home, paying for a college education, or reaching your retirement. Simply put, being financially organized helps you monitor your progress in reaching, and maintaining, your ultimate financial goals.
To help our clients stay organized and know where they stand, Platania Financial continues to invest in technology. We’re rolling out a new Client Portal that allows clients to organize and oversee their entire financial picture.
Think of it as your own personal financial website. Clients can integrate investment accounts, credit cards, checking and saving accounts, and outside investment accounts such as a 401k. They’ll be able to view their financial plan in real-time and track progress towards funding their goals. And to organize their financial (as well as non-financial) and estate documents, the portal’s “Vault” feature comes with unlimited storage to upload the most important documents in one secure place for when they’re needed down-the-road. All of this can be accessed with the simplicity of a single login and password.

Technology can make our daily lives very complex. However, by embracing the digital age and utilizing the best of technologies, we can simplify our financial affairs and become better financially organized, improving the odds of success.
If you would like more information on simplifying your financial affairs and understanding where you stand financially in relation to what you want out of life, give Jim or myself a call and we will be happy to speak with you.
There is no assurance that a comprehensive financial plan will yield positive outcomes. The purchase of certain securities will be required to effect some of the strategies. Investing involves risks, including possible loss of principal.
